# Users

> Invite staff, manage invitations, and deactivate accounts in a workspace.

# Users

Requires **User management** permission.

## Invite staff

1. Open **Users**.
2. Choose **Invite** (or **Add**).
3. Enter email, assign a **role**, and send.
4. The person receives an email — see [Accept an invite](/getting-started/accept-invite).

Pending invitations show status. You can **resend** or **cancel** invites that have not been accepted. **Resend** emails a new invitation link and invalidates the previous one.

## Manage members

Use search on the users list (name, email, or employee id) — closer matches appear first. Long lists use **Load more** (not numbered pages).

From the users list you can:

* Change role (when allowed — you cannot assign a role with more permissions than your own)
* Deactivate access for people who left
* See last activity indicators your workspace exposes

The workspace **owner** cannot have their role changed or their membership deactivated from this screen.

If another admin changed the same member or invite while you were editing, ClinZero asks you to **reload** or **overwrite** before your save applies.

## Tips

* Roles control which sidebar modules appear — configure them under [Roles and access](/admin/roles).
* When inviting or changing someone’s role, you can only choose roles whose permissions are within your own access (the workspace owner can assign any role).
* Subscription / seat limits (if any) are managed under [Workspace settings](/admin/workspace-settings), not the patient Billing module.
