The left sidebar lists modules your role can open:
  • Overview — dashboard and attention items
  • Patient records, Appointments, Laboratory (including Quality control), Clinical documents
  • Roles & access, Users, Workspace settings, Audit (admin-oriented)
Items you cannot access are hidden. Coming-soon modules (Admissions and patient Billing) stay URL-only even in beta workspaces — they are not shown in the sidebar until they ship. See Coming soon.

Command palette

Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to search pages and jump quickly. Typed queries also surface patients, appointments, lab reports, and staff when your role allows — closer matches appear first. Quick actions start the workflow immediately (you do not land on an empty list and click New again):
  • Register patient — opens the registration form
  • Book appointment — opens the booking form (pick the patient in the dialog)
  • New lab report draft — creates a draft and opens the editor (catalog and lab must exist)
  • Invite user — opens the invite form on Users
  • New clinical document — opens the new-document form
  • Pending lab sign-off — jumps to the sign-off queue
You can also open Docs and Feedback from the palette.

User menu

Open your avatar / name menu for:
  • Docs — opens the ClinZero user guide (this site) in a new tab
  • Feedback — opens the public feedback and roadmap portal (Featurebase) in a new tab
  • Profile
  • Take a tour (restart onboarding tips for the current area)
  • Theme (light / dark)
  • Sign out
You can also open Docs and Feedback from the user menu.

Theme

Use the theme control in the header or user menu to switch light and dark mode. Preference is stored for your browser.

Overview home

The Overview page shows today’s schedule highlights, lab attention (pending sign-off, setup), Clinical documents and Quality control in Quick links when your role can open them, and admin setup tips when relevant. Cards respect your permissions. The header subtitle is the workspace name. Status banners appear one at a time (offline, then security and billing first); extra notices move into the notification bell. If your connection drops, a banner says You’re offline. You can keep reading what is already on screen; saves and other changes wait until you are back online.

Keyboard users can press Tab once after the page loads and choose Skip to content to jump past the sidebar into the main workspace.

First-day walkthrough

New members get a guided walkthrough of clinic work, in this order (pages your role cannot open are skipped):
  1. Overview
  2. Patient records
  3. Appointments
  4. Clinical documents
  5. Lab reports
Labs and Catalog are optional setup tours. Open those pages and choose Take a tour when you are configuring the lab — they are not part of the automatic first-day chain. Restart tips anytime from Take a tour on the current page or from the user menu.
