Labs

Requires Lab management permission. Labs are locations or lab units in your workspace. Catalog tests and reports belong to a lab — set at least one active lab before you create reports. On phones and tablets the list uses cards. On a large screen you get a table. Choose Take a tour on Labs when you are setting up locations. This page is not part of the automatic first-day walkthrough.

Add a lab

  1. Open Laboratory → Labs.
  2. Choose Add lab.
  3. Enter name and details, then save.
  4. Keep the lab active so staff can use it in catalog and reports.

Edit or deactivate

Open a lab to rename or mark Inactive. Inactive labs should not be used for new reports; existing reports remain for history. If another staff member saved the same lab while you were editing, ClinZero asks you to reload or overwrite so your change does not silently replace theirs. Unsaved create/edit changes prompt for confirmation if you close the dialog or reload the page.

Delete unused

You can Delete a lab only when it has no reports or notes. Deletion is permanent — type the lab name to confirm. If delete is blocked because reports or notes still reference the lab, ClinZero offers Deactivate instead so the lab stays out of new workflows without removing history.
  1. Create Labs
  2. Build the Catalog
  3. Create and publish Reports
  4. Optionally set up QC and turn on require-QC-before-publish in workspace settings
  5. Configure Printing
Overview may show a lab setup checklist until your first lab and catalog are ready.
